Required Documents for ordinary passport holder (Tourist)
- Passport:
Original Passport with validity of minimum six months after the intended date of departure
andminimum two blank pages for visa stamp.
Include all your previous passports. - Visa Application Form:
Visa Application Form for South Africa: The Visa Application form must be filled with all the
proper information. The form must be signed by the applicant. Visa application form-11 (DHA-84)
– must be completed in black ink and block letters. - Photo:
Two recent passport size photographs,
With matt or semi matt finish,
Photographs should be white background, without border,
60-80% face coverage, (Size: 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm). - Covering-Letter:
Covering Letter from applicant including Name, Designation, Passport Number, purpose and
outlining who will be responsible for the full costs of the trip – travel date, accommodation,
expenses etc. Addressed to – The Visa Officer, South Africa High Commission, New Delhi. Visa
Category: “Tourist Visa” must be mentioned in the subject line. - Trip Detail:
Day by day trip itinerary or tour voucher from an authorized tour operator. - Proof of Occupation:
Forwarding-Letter: A letter from the office such a NOC/LOI letter on the organization’s letterhead pad stating applicant’s name, designation, passport number, purpose, duration of visit,
sponsorship status etc. Addressing “Visa Consular, South Africa High Commission, India”
- Trade license/Certificate of Incorporation/Memorandum (If self-employed/businessman)

- Company Bank Statement last six month
- Ticket:
Ticket Itinerary as per your travel period. - Hotel Reservation:
Hotel booking as per your travel period. - Marriage Certificate and Nikha nama.

*Visa processing time entirely depends upon the time taken by the visa office while processing each
visa application to its merit and may take longer than the tentative processing time.

- Passport Scan Copy: Clearly scanned Passport copy required. Minimum of 6 months validity required from the arrival date.
- Photo Specification: Passport Size Photo with White Background (clear scanned Copy required)
- Previous Visa copy: If traveler has previous travel history on countries like Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, USA, UK and so on, need those clear VISA scanned copy.
- Flight and hotel reservations booking with dates clearly stated (DO NOT purchase until visa approval)

FAQ - General Visa Information
No. At Present our online application system only supports applications made in English.
We are doing our best to support as many computers, operating systems and internet browsers as possible but due to the technologies we use for our online application system, there are certain browsers we exclude due to their age or design. Currently our site is tested at IE 5.0 or later and Mozilla Firefox 3.5 or later.
Yes. You can save your online visa application wherever you see the "Save & Exit" icon. To login again and complete your application, you will require your unique "Visa Application Id". This number will have been sent to the email address that you supplied in your application security details.
Throughout the online form we have added "More Info" icons to some questions that might require further guidance.
If you didn't submit your application finally you can do the change. After submitting the application you can't change it.
All date fields in our forms are set up in the following format: dd/mm/yyyy (for example 21/08/2011).
Yes. But please check first that your inbox has not treated our email confirmation as SPAM and that you have given us the correct email address. If you have not received your confirmation email after 24 hours please contact us through Complain and Feedback link.
This could be because you did not save your application by selecting the "Save & Exit" option flagged by the following image on the application form or your did not retrieve your application within 7 days of last saving it. If you are sure you saved your application in the last seven days, empty your browser cache(temporary internet files) and try again.
